Attending the Evoke creative wellness workshop was a transformative experience for me. As someone who is typically quite reserved, I was amazed at how the workshop helped me to open up and express my emotions. With the expert guidance of Sami and Cam, I learned the skills to write a meaningful poem, something I never thought I could do. The process lifted a huge weight off my chest, allowing me to explore my feelings in a safe and supportive environment. I come in here with a group of strangers and even my girlfriend said today – she’s a nurse, she not very creative – she was very skeptical before she came like “I don’t what I’m going into, I don’t know what it’s going to be like’ but by the end of it you could feel the community aspect, through self-expression, through creativity, and it’s so powerful”.

The whole thing from start to finish was just brilliant.

The way they broke everything down, the way they created a safe space for people to share.

People achieved emotional breakthroughs here today by feeling that they were in a safe space and being given the tools to be able to take them out of themselves.

I think we all have it within us, but when you’re actually shown how to something and get real advice on something, it makes it easier to actually to do.

I’m really excited to see where they’re gonna go with this because I thought it was great.
