On December 12th, we had the privilege of hosting a workshop at The Ready House, a trailblazing creative agency led by the inspiring Koral Ibrahim. Koral brought Evoke: Creative Wellness into the fold to spark personal creativity and connection within his talented team, and the result was nothing short of transformative. The morning began with mindful exercises to centre the group, creating a space where vulnerability and creativity could thrive. As we moved into a creative writing activity, the team explored themes of gratitude, resilience, and self-expression. One participant reflected on how the session gave them a new appreciation for the routines and time they carve out for themselves. Their candid reflections brought a quiet but powerful empathy to the room, as others resonated with their words and opened up in turn. Another moment of magic came when a participant who initially claimed she “wasn’t very good with words” surprised everyone – including herself – with a beautifully written piece. The room buzzed with admiration, and her confidence visibly soared. “I’ve never thought of myself as a writer,” she later shared, “but I felt so connected to everyone after sharing this.” Moments like this exemplify the power of creativity to deepen connections and reveal untapped potential. The Ready House workshop was an uplifting reminder of the power of creativity to not only inspire but also unite.
